Day-by-Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1:
Arusha to Tarangire National Park to Karatu
We’ll begin with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, your safari guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park, about 3 hours away. This park is famous for its large herds of elephants and giant baobab trees. You’ll enjoy a full game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more animals.
We’ll have a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. After your game drive, we’ll continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2:
Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive to Arusha
After breakfast, we drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today’s highlight is a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater — a natural wonder filled with diverse wildlife. Here you can spot the Big 5: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, all in one place.
We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool and continue exploring this wildlife-rich caldera. Later in the afternoon, we’ll return to Arusha for the night.

Day 3:
Materuni Waterfall & Coffee Tour to Arusha After breakfast,
After breakfast, we head to the lush green foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro to visit Materuni Village. From here, you’ll enjoy a scenic hike to the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls. Along the way, you’ll pass through coffee and banana farms and learn about the traditional Chagga way of life.
After enjoying the waterfall, your guide will take you through a fun and interactive coffee-making experience — from bean to cup — and of course, you’ll get to taste freshly brewed local coffee. After this experience, we return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
